Those who know me well know that I absolutely love jeans.  It’s almost an unhealthy obsession of mine…  Anyway, my mom and dad got Kate a pair of jeans for Christmas and I just had to show off how super cute she looks in her new pants!  Sorry that the swing straps kind of block the jeans and her matching v-neck cardi, but, you know… safety first!

Proof that Kate is mine, too…

I’m posting a baby picture of me when I was about 2 months old to prove that Kate does, in fact, look like me a little.  See for yourselves!

Six Random Things

I was tagged by Jocele for 6 random things, so here goes:

Here’s how it works:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Six Random things about me:

1.  This YouTube video gives me goosebumps every single time I watch it.  I’ve watched it approximately 108,956 times.

2.  There is almost nothing I hate more than foam rubber.  I hate the noise it makes when touched, I hate the way it feels, I hate so much about what it chooses to be (that’s an Office quote for any fellow Office fans out there).

3.  My favorite food is cotton candy.

4.  My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

5.  I love animals.  I, on more than one occasion, have swerved to avoid running over a caterpillar.  [Note: as stated previously on Beth’s blog, this is not an invitation to talk about sad animal stories.  All comments deemed inappropriate by the blog author will be promptly deleted and the offending party will be shunned for at least one week.  Be aware.]

6.  I have run in three half-marathons, but will never run in a full one.  The reason?  The last half-marathon that I ran in provided me with a shirt that says “MARATHON” on it… I now see no point in running a full one, since I already have “proof” of doing just that.

Okay, now I’m tagging:

I don’t want to take the time to figure out how to link to the above blogs, but they’re all already linked on the side of my blog… so, there you go…

Fun Times

Okay, so this title is both literal and sarcastic…  It is literal in the sense that Chris and I are having lots of fun getting to know Kate, even though it is a lot of work.   It is so neat to get to see bits and pieces of personality coming out, and trying to attribute those bits to each other.  : )  This title is also sarcastic in the sense that I got mastitis a week after delivery and honestly don’t think I’ve ever been sicker.  I had just about the worst headache I’ve ever had (which is saying something, as I’m, like, the queen of headaches) for eight days straight.  I also was fighting a fever of up to 103 for six days straight.  Pretty much, I felt terrible.  There should be a law against getting sick that soon after delivery.  Anyway, enough about me.

Kate is growing up a storm and it seems like she is changing daily.  She is looking more and more like a baby and less like a newborn.  Some of her favorite things include: sleeping on her daddy’s chest, eating and hanging out with her many visitors.  Her grandparents on both sides love loving on her, and Kate e njoys being the center of attention.  Although, you wouldn’t know it by how she often sleeps right through it all (right, Dad?).  We’ve taken her to church twice now, and each time she’s been very good, not making even one peep!  I’m sure that will change, but we’ll enjoy it for now!  Well, enjoy some more recent pictures of Kate, and I’d enjoy any input as to which parent you think she looks more like at this point.  Most people say Chris, hands down, but every now and then someone actually thinks that she takes after me… let me know!
